The mission of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc., (EGA) is to stimulate appreciation for and celebrate the heritage of embroidery by advancing the highest standards of excellence in its practice through education, exhibition, preservation, collection and research.

The Bucks County EGA Chapter's mission is to provide a community open to anyone, regardless of "stitching" ability. We offer programs and love to share our enthusiasm for all things embroidery-related. Membership in the Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc., a non-profit organization, is open to all stitchers without regard to sex, color, religion or national origin.  The organization was formed to foster high standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery and to develop an active program of education and study to meet the needs of its members. Dues paid to the chapter include membership in the national EGA, Regional (MAR) and Bucks County Chapter. Members receive subscriptions to NeedleArts magazine, the Mid-Atlantic Region Newsletter, and the BCC quarterly newsletter, the Bucks County Sampler.
